Dr. Shlomov's Dry Eye Mission

My mission as a dry eye specialist in Miami is to provide compassionate, evidence-based care that addresses the realities of modern life and the unique needs of each patient. In today’s screen-driven world, we spend unprecedented hours on phones, computers, and digital devices, often without realizing how dramatically this reduces our blink rate and disrupts the natural tear film. Over time, this leads to chronic dryness, irritation, inflammation, and visual fluctuation that can affect work, comfort, and overall quality of life.

I am committed to helping patients understand dry eye syndrome, its underlying causes, and why symptoms are becoming increasingly common, especially in environments like Miami, where air conditioning, humidity changes, contact lens wear, and prolonged screen use all play a role. Every dry eye patient is different. My approach focuses on identifying the root cause of dry eye — whether evaporative, inflammatory, meibomian gland dysfunction, autoimmune-related, or lifestyle-driven, and creating a customized treatment plan tailored to each individual. This may include blink optimization strategies, lifestyle modifications, prescription therapies, in-office procedures, and advanced dry eye treatments designed to restore ocular surface health and comfort.

My goal is not only to relieve symptoms, but to improve eye health at its foundation, so patients can work, read, drive, and enjoy daily life comfortably again. By combining modern diagnostics with compassionate, individualized care, I strive to deliver the highest level of dry eye treatment in Miami, focused on lasting results and real quality-of-life improvement.

Dr. Shlomov’s Myopia & Specialty Vision Care Mission

My mission is to protect and preserve vision through proactive, personalized eye care, with a strong focus on myopia control and long-term ocular health. I am dedicated to helping children, teens, and adults slow the progression of nearsightedness while supporting clear, comfortable vision at every stage of life.

A core part of my approach is staying at the forefront of myopia management strategies, including evidence-based treatments designed to reduce progression and lower the risk of future eye disease. When vision needs are more complex, I also provide advanced specialty contact lens care, including scleral lenses, for conditions such as keratoconus, irregular corneas, and ocular surface disease. These tools allow me to restore visual clarity and comfort when standard options are not sufficient.

I believe exceptional outcomes come from truly individualized care. Every patient’s eyes, visual demands, and lifestyle are different, which is why I take the time to perform comprehensive evaluations and tailor each treatment plan accordingly, whether that involves myopia control therapy, specialty lenses, or a combination of both. Patient education is central to my mission, and I ensure that individuals and families feel informed, confident, and supported throughout their treatment journey.
